We are all motivated by something when we give! The sheer delight of grace and sharing it is number one. The Macedonians modeled giving, even though they were not counted among the affluent of the day.

Sermon Text: 2 Corinthians 8:1-7

Take Home questions

Home opener: Who modeled generous giving in your family or origin and what did they do?

Home builder: People have noted: time is money. Can your family share some time serving together this month? What might it be? Keep it simple.

Home promise: “He who supplies seed for the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply or seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.” 2 Corinthians 9:10.

Home opener:  Think about how you acquire money. Is God pleased with your calling and how you ‘make a living?’

Home builder:  Do you save or keep much? How might you have a more God pleasing balance this week?

Home promise:  “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15.

Other: Reformation Sunday. This is fall financial commitment Sunday as we gather faith promises at the conclusion of the worship services.
